30"x40" oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas
"I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy. Because they know what it’s like to feel absolutely worthless and they don’t want anybody else to feel like that."
Painted for Audrey's first solo exhibition and series called SPEAK, in support of mental health & suicide awareness. "This painting saved my life."
Displayed at Art Basel 2019. There, the painting was knocked over and damaged due to a series of unfortunate circumstances.
The price went up; because scars tell our story and show what we can grow through & heal from… if anything they make us more beautiful, not less.
