About Audrey
I’ve never been great with words—that’s why I paint. Trying to explain what I feel through language often overwhelms me. But with painting, especially finger-painting, the story feels endless. It brings me peace, second only to Jesus Christ.
So, how did I start finger-painting?
It began in March 2020, during the start of quarantine. I was living alone, going through something deeply painful. The world outside was chaotic, and I was isolated with my emotions.
Though I had been a full-time artist for years, my work—mostly realism with brushes—never felt like it truly expressed me. I didn’t know what to paint, but I knew I needed to let something out.
I remember telling my best friend I wished I could just hug the canvas and pour everything into it. So, on day five of quarantine, I let go of the outcome and started throwing paint with my hands.
The process was raw, emotional, and unlike anything I’d done before. It wasn’t planned. I just kept using my hands, step after step, and felt more connected than I ever had with my work.
By the time the painting was finished, it had brought me a release I couldn’t explain in words. I had no intention of sharing that piece, but it became my most loved work—and one I’ll never sell.
At first, I didn’t plan to continue painting with my fingers. But I couldn’t ignore the connection I’d found. My hands had become my voice, and people were listening.
Finger-painting became my language.
With a background in sociology, I’ve always been fascinated by people—their stories, relationships, and experiences. In the years that followed, finger-painting became my therapy, my way of staying human in an increasingly disconnected world.
As censorship and division grew louder, my paintings became bolder. They spoke when words were silenced. They carried the voices I felt were being suppressed.
Finger-painting became my rebellion.
Today, I’m labeled a Freedom Fighter, a patriot, and a conspiracy theorist—and I wear those with pride. My work reflects the messages that matter to me: truth, freedom, faith, family, and honoring our veterans. I paint what I believe, from a place of love and honesty.
